Nevertheless

Galatians 2:20

"For I have been crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, / live.

Yet not I, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me."

Spiritually speaking, we have crucified the "old man". We have spiritual new life because Christ now lives within our hearts. The old me, my sin nature, was put to death. My new nature is found through our faith in Christ, who loved me so much that He took my place on the cross and died so that all who would believe would have eternal life.
