Forgiven

1 John 2:2

"He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only

for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."

There are numerous verses, both Old and New

Testaments, which speak of our being forgiven

through the atoning work of Christ on the cross.

This is nothing for us to boast about, however, as

we don’t and cannot add anything to our salvation.

It is all of God so that He gets all the glory. We are

completely undeserving and He is completely

gracious and merciful.
